Congratulations Sarah and Caleb :-)

My lovely friends tied the knot on saturday the 13th of November (on Mchappy day!!! This is cute as considering they are a Mcdonald family too! lol). Anyway I loved the opportunity to decorate Sarah for her prince charming on their very special day! Sarah is a beautiful person inside and out, I really didn't need to do any make up for her at all, she could have got away with nothing and still looked amazing! The photo's were taken by their friend Daniel Work, what a lovely guy he is, and what amazing moments he captured!

It is special to know such a beautiful couple, your love for each other truly radiates!! I am a lucky girl to be able to call you both friends. xoxo

Rebecca Brown on her wedding day!

Here are a couple of pictures for Rebecca Brown, she married her prince charming on October 10 2010! Congratulations lovely!
Bec wanted to have a subtle look, nothing too dramatic just pretty and simple! She chose a light shade of pink across her lid, a few individual lashes and little bronzer, really sweet and simple! Thank you for letting me decorate your day Bec! Her bridesmaids wore teal dresses and they wanted something a little more outstanding for their make up! Enjoy the pictures from SUN*DAYS Photography

Bridal hair and make up

I did another photoshoot the other day with Steve Elmer and Julian Beattie. I had the marvelous Mindy Maclennan to show off her skills and do the hair! Mindy has just opened her own salon (LUCKY DUCKY!!!) If you want an amazing hair do, give Mindy a call! You can get all her details here at Vivid Glamour Hair Studio.
I dressed my best buddy Prina up as a pakistani bride - so beautiful!! Im really interested in Indian Bridal/Bollywood make up! Hope to specialise in this one day.. Prina had a great time, she managed to get her outfit from her sister and mother! I loved the colours!!
I also had A girl all dressed up as a western bride, subtle gold colours, dark liner and individual lashes. I went bold for this because I think it is ok to go all out with your make up on your wedding day!!! Why not? Its 1 day out of your life, do something special :-) I like natural, but I just dont understand why we stick to that sort of thing on our most very special day!!!

Here are some pictures of the hair thanks Mindy! And thank you Julian for these shots :-)

soft smokey and natural

Well, pretty much every time I do a make over for someone they want "soft, smokey and natural". I love it, it is beautiful and really compliments anyone's beautiful features. I really want to perfect this type of make up. I know I can do a lovely job, but there's got to be something better I can add to it. Thats just something I keep thinking! So I will be searching for that something that bring's this gorgeous look to more then outstanding.

Kariz-Matik Photography & Steven Elmer Photography ROCK THE CASBAH

I had so much fun on sunday painting a beautiful face for a shoot with Kariz-Matik Photography (Julian Beattie) and Steve Elmer! These guys are the best!!! Next time I want to use my own little camera to shoot pics of them in action, just for fun!! They are so passionate, they love what they do!! Its not often you find people that are confident and openly excited about their talent, and always looking to take it to the next level! I love it!! You would regret it if you didn't hire these guys for your next photo session! Seriously!! Will have to get a picture of their smiley faces some time!
The shoot was for a couple who are about to get married, Simon and Simone. The guys are doing the photos for the wedding too, so watch this space and I'll get the link for you to check it out when thats done! Simon and Simone are so fabulous in front of the camera and a genuinely lovely couple! I hope I get to paint Simone's face again some time in the future :-)
Check out these pics!!

Fun times :-)

Formal

Formals! They are happening all year round and are the biggest thing for the girls in their last year of school! The next best thing to the wedding day!! I love doing formal make overs :-) Especially when I get to use colour !! There is nothing like an elegant wash of fabulous colours that match the dress/accessories!! A few weeks ago, the lovely Jasmine Mcdonald decided to get creative and do a little mock up formal shoot of her own! If you're after a fabulous hair style for your special day you wont regret contacting Jasmine. Steve Elmer and Julian Beattie captured this awesome event and what a fantastic job they did!
Meet Letitia: What a beautiful lady she is!!! I am really looking forward to painting her wonderful face for her formal in just a few weeks!
And Ally: What can I say. She is purely stunning. A Life size Barbie :-)

Jasmine's creativitiy in hair styling will blow your mind. Here is another of her creations, once again, gorgeous Letitia was her model for the day.. Check it out.

Here is a picture captured by me. The gorgeous guys (my ever so loving cousin Ryan) at Nudgee had their formal a few months ago and they had the privelege of being accompanied by these two special ladies, Celeste and Candice. Hair By Jasmine once again!

High fashion

Wow, when I am allowed to get my hands a bit more dirty then usual and step into fantasy land, my heart skips a beat! I love being able to venture out into another world and pull back from it something special! I have a massive variety of eye shadow colours for a good reason :-) I do not like to limit myself when it comes to colour! Atleast 10 different shades on eye is totally awesome :-) Check out these two little pics! Peacock theme on my wonderful friend Melanie! I love painting Mels face and am looking forward to doing something for her wedding in november (YIPPEE!) These 2 pictures are taken by my fabulous brother in law (not a photographer, but he could be!!) David Wegner!

These next to pictures captured by the ever impressive Steve Elmer! Melanie had her engagement party and it was a masquerade! I did my own face as a little butterfly! I used mostly silver and because it was night the butterfly is a little hard to see. But Mel had her peacock theme, I even cut up peacock feathers for her eyebrows and it looked great!

Photoshoots are fun!

Here is a little glimpse of a photoshoot I did a few months ago... Cara looked great!!! The make up is inspired by an arabic theme. Loving the sharp edges and deep colours. The hair was done by Jasmine Mcdonald. I will upload some more in the future but here is just one shot.. Picture by Rob Macdonald.

Wedding make up

Im just uploading pics of a bride I had about a year ago.. I love these pics, beautiful. The photographer was also amazing and a wonderful person too! She actually photographed my wedding and I still gaze at the pictures every day and think "wow". So if you like these pics, and are getting married, not only do you want to call me to do your make up and put you in touch with an amazing hairstylist, but you may want to call Esther Raemond @ Raemond Photography.

Well I thought I had uploaded 2 but I cant find the 2nd. So here I'll do it again :)

Awesome! Now thats done, check out these pics!! Gorgeous little bride here, fabulous girl she has the most amazing eyes! The photographer, definately one of a kind, amazing person, absolute character and has an awesome eye for epic shots... Meet Steve! Steven Elmer Photography.
